Basic Skills atthe Avery Learning Center

The Basic Skills Program serves Avery County with GED, College Preparation, ESL, and Compensatory Education classes at various locations, including the Mayland Avery Learning Center on Cranberry Street in Newland [map].

An “open” class, allowing each student to set his or her own attendance schedule at any time during operation hours (for example, attending for an hour or two after work as the student’s schedule allows).

College preparation
