Yancey County Rookie School
Yancey County Summer NFPA 1403 Rookie School 2014
MCC’s Yancey Learning Center, together with county fire departments and the Yancey County Fire Association, will conduct its fifth Rookie School. This comprehensive continuing education program is of the highest quality both in classroom and field instruction. Many graduates of previous Rookie Schools are working with departments in the region as paid personnel. Students must pass written and practical skills tests in each class. Upon completion of all required classes, students will be eligible to obtain Fire Fighter Level I and II Certification through the NC Office of State Fire Marshal. Individual classes may also be attended for training, retraining, or updates in Fire and Rescue.
