Tuition, Fees & Expenses

Tuition*

In-State: Tuition is $71.50 per credit hour up to 16 credit hours for in-state students.
Out-of-State: Tuition is $263.50 per credit hour up to 16 credit hours for out-of-state students.
*Tuition rates are subject to change by action of the NC General Assembly.

Fees

  • Activity Fee: Students registered for 9 or more credit hours are charged $32.  Students registered for 1 to 8 credit hours are charged $18.  Activity fees apply to Fall and Spring Semesters only.  No activity fees are charged for Summer Semester.  A portion of the activity fee is used to help cover graduation expenses.
  • Administrative Fee: A fee of $10 is charged to students for the preparation of graduation materials each semester. 
  • Technology Fee: A fee of $16 is charged to all students registered for 12 or more credit hours. Students registered for 1 to 11 credit hours will be charged $8 for each semester.
  • Parking Fee: The college charges a fee of $5 each semester to all students, excluding high school students and senior citizens.
  • Insurance Fee: All students are charged $1.40 per semester for student supplemental insurance.  Students in certain programs of study are charged $13.00 per year for malpractice insurance.  Nursing students pay lab and photocopy fees of $40-$80 per semester.
  • Transcript Fee: Transcripts are available from the Registrar’s office for $5 per transcript.
  • International Student Fee: A fee of $25 per credit hour is charged for any international student who registers to take curriculum courses.
